It keeps you absorbed without letting you put it down without completing. But, surely it is a delightful and amusing read. It is not a book to embrace lessons from, neither it is an insightful read. I happen to be a Tamilian, born and brought up in Delhi, and hence, I could relate to almost every detail of the book. It is this uncanny ability to connect with the reader that has undoubtedly made Chetan Bhagat so popular among the masses. The highlight of the book is the really funny (and VERY close to the absolute truth) description of how people behave be it the blatant lies and ego-massaging statements in an IIM interview, or the massive exhibition of wealth and splendor in a Punju wedding, or the way Tamil Moms and Aunts fall over each other praising an NRI Engineer working in the US…If you have lived in India, you can relate to many of the events described in the book.
